Ed Walters was established in Ludlow in 1957. The company grew from strength to strength, eventually operating 13 manufacturing units in the 1980’s in the local area, employing hundreds of people.
Although the demise of the UK clothing industry in the 1980’s and 1990’s saw the gradual closure of many UK factories, the business responded to the increased pressure from overseas imports by establishing a successful offshore production division in Eastern Europe.
Our global manufacturing connections continue to be the backbone of the business as it is today.
After being one of the pioneers sourcing from Bangladesh in the early 90’s, we have continued to expand our capacities and product base. We have a joint venture facility in Chittagong, Bangladesh which promises to further enhance the flexibility and services we offer.
Today we’re proud to be working with a number of key partners offering high-quality formal wear, casual wear and outerwear for men, women and children as well as school uniform.
